We keep reading and hearing that Donald Trump could be elected again even if he is convicted. Some go so far as to say he could be president and also be in prison at the same time. My big question is does this also mean that lying George Santos cannot be expelled from Congress?

The 14th Amendment is plain. It also says nothing about a trial of any kind. A trial would not be needed for any state to use the Amendment and exclude Trump from the ballot. Wake up states and do your duty. If the Trump lawyers think you are wrong they would have to tackle this issue one state at a time. To do this they would surely run out of time. Problem solved.

A foreign agent plotting an insurrection while being paid in rubles seems like behavior that should be addressed by a military court. Mainly, the DOJ has shown its bias and/or incompetence. Garland should be replaced yesterday by someone with balls. Patriotism and honor seem to be lacking in Washington. U.S. Democracy is already dead. And the coup is ongoing...

. . . addressed by a military court ?

Not so. The US has a separate uniform code of military justice, or UCMJ. Look it up.
