I was quite impressed by this video.

If you search for 'the most impactful leader', or 'most admired leader', one name comes up consistently, often at the top. That is 'Mustafa Kemal Atatürk' of Turkiye.

Watch this video to see how Turkish people admire him in their hearts, not because they are brainwashed by the government as it is often the case with tinpot heroes in most countries.

I was once stationed in Turkey [armysecurityagencyveterans.net] scroll down to see the site. There is now a facebook group. While there I kept hearing about Ataturk. He has been elevated to the rank of a god. Unfortunately, because of him, a lot of things one might do would get one in hot water. If you're someplace and you drop a bill and you step on it to keep it from blowing away you can get arrested. Any sort of Ataturk blasphemy can get you in trouble. Seems like some people cannot be truly liberated.
When I was there Ankara looked a lot different.

I made this list after searching how leaders are tanking by people internationally.

'Mustafa Kemal Atatürk' of Turkiye is at the top.

I am thinking about visiting Instanbul during Christmas. Who wants to go along?

I cannot go along but the video was impressive. I learned few things and I can say that I would have not been afraid being there. Everything looked secure and there is no reason to think badly of the people or their police.
