I had both a Covid and the Flu shot two days ago. In the same arm. I am insane. It hurts. A painful reminder that I am not thirty years young anymore. I need pity!
My pharmacist usually does one in each arm, if I'm having 2 and suggests which one for my dominant arm, or the one I tend to sleep on. I'm told to relax my arm, for the shot, and then use my arm a lot for the rest of the day, which helps. I only get mild soreness in my arms, but I have learned to set aside a whole day after for an easy day for a bit of brain haze.
You deserve a day of pampering, take your mind off your pain by eating sherbet, watching movies, or scrolling agnostic dot com!
I have four cats and one hyper dog and a family who ignores me- all brought on by myself. And don't forget, the grandson who lives upstairs prays for me. How can I complain? I'll be OK.
Wow, I'm so sorry it's affected you that badly. It's so hard to know which will hit you the hardest but maybe one at a time is best in the future. I had both together and just had minor soreness and lethargy, and nothing when I had the RSV a couple weeks later, but I've had ones that kicked me around some.
I believe I heard that a hot compress for the first 24 hours and then cold ones after that might help, along with some pain relievers and pampering yourself for a few days. Good luck!
I did that last year and it was A Mistake I will not make again...I am in Walmart about every 10 days or so, I just get One per visit now.
Alsoo got the new RSN (?) one which laid me out for a full week, with arm swelling and extreme tenderness for most of that time...going to have a talk with the pharmacist next time I am there to ask if I should now be aware of new allergies or something.
Getting old is Not for sissies!!!!!!!!
Day 3- I am better. Today am taking my Tramadol and will be better. Thank you all.
I got both of mine in the same arm a few weeks ago, and aside from some soreness that evening have not had any other problems.
