I save a few envelopes etc, in case i need to return something and recycle the cardboard through my town's excellent program.
Of course deflate any air-bag type packaging and you can use that plastic envelope-type packaging, rolled up and sliced if needed, at the bottom of planters for better drainage and less weight overall.
