I only use cold water to wash my clothes. I also limit the use of my dryer. I hang my jeans, shirts, and towels to dry. I also hang dresses to dry. I mainly use the dryer for socks and sheets. If I had an outside line, I would hang the sheets in summer to dry.

I too only use cold water and I do not have a dryer. Everything gets hang on the line to dry.

@Jolanta my washer/dryer are almost 15 years old. I had one repair on the washer (my son fixed it) and none on the dryer. However, as I use the dryer so little, I think that contributes to its repair free status.

Up until this moment I thought everyone knew how to wash their clothes, I use cold water most of the time. And this week the water is REALLY cold!!
