A large percentage of Americans are very strange people. All round the world people are fighting dictatorships to bring democracy and in America people are fighting democracy to bring a dictatorship.

Not just strange people, they are stupid, fearful, and hateful..

I don’t think it’s a given that Trump will win. The closer we get to the election the pushback against him is just going to intensify. I’m definitely skeptical of a lot of these polls and opinion pieces.

If the orange turd does get back into the white house, the country will survive him again. Might be only half a country, but it will survive. And fix whatever he fracks up again. Sometimes you have to throw the baby out with the bathwater...

@Druvius I would be ok with that, if it was limited to only a number of states, and they left the rest of the country alone, and I would be willing to move away to be in one of the states they don't control.

“Our Democracy” is a fiction; America has always been an oligarchy — ruled by a wealthy few.

The voters in a few mostly western states have direct democracy — the direct initiative, referendum, and recall. The voters in most states elect people who become their predators.

Ironically I just applied for renewal of my green card. During the process, thought about deportation being a, forgive the pun, blessing!!!

I would gladly take deportation to Canada or some social democratic Euro country, lol...
