Who else out thar, is so tired of all the Trump Bashing ? Let me iterate that I am NO Trump fan boy, hes a pig, a liar, etc. But then again every president were all Liars. What I find most obtrusive about all the constant complaints are from people whom also have many many flaws. I hate to say it but we americans absolutely Love to have a common enemy and someone that we can use as a scape goat. And Trump is by far the most relevant target. Personally I stay away from political discussion because quiet frankly imho it is beyond hope. It is only a matter of time before it all comes crashing down. I instead choose to spend my time preparing for that eventuality. This is why I joined this site in particular. I have some time each day that I would enjoy interacting with like minded souls that have decided to live above the fray. Who is with me on this ?

The invention of groups can be useful for this problem. There's every worthless group under the sun from Libertarians to conservative Republicans.. pick your poison bring a weapon and have fun.

21

I think most would agree that Trump has taken lying to a new level far exceeding any previous Presidents

20

Sorry, I can't honestly say I'm with you on this. If we stop objecting and criticising, this shit will become normalised.

19

Trump is in a league of his own when it comes to in-competent, lying presidents. I will never tire of calling him out for what he is.

18

Trump creates his own problems. I have zero respect for him as a human being and he commands no respect from me for the title of president. He isn't deserving of the office or the respect.

17

No, I think he should be trashed every minute of every day, because that's what he is, TRASH.

17

Trump is above and beyond anything I've ever seen out a president. I get tired of the bashing. I get tired of Trump giving his critics something to bash him about. He's a criminal who's the president of the United States. So there's that. He never should've been elected. He's embarrassing.

@jorj Hillary was alleged to be a criminal. They investigated and investigated and investigated. Found nothing. There was something about some emails? Nothing criminal about it. But no one investigates the guy in the White House using the unencrypted cell phone? Gives secrets to Russians inside the Oval Office but it's OK, because a president can do that.

The Right has been after Hillary for 25 years but nothing has been proven. She must be Lex Luthor level if she is a criminal.

Meanwhile Trump pays $25 million to settle a fraud lawsuit. No admission of guilt, but everyone pays $25 million when they're not guilty of something. It's on-and-on with Trump. Almost everything Trump said about Hillary during the campaign has proven to be true of himself.

@jorj You're wrong about Hillary. There was NO proof. She was investigated by those who know the law. Not me. Not you. They declined to arrest her. They didn't indict her. They didn't try her. They didn't convict her. You're one who believes the FOX"News" version of the truth. Not the actual truth. You won't change your mind.

@jorj Presidents can declassify things. Trump shot his mouth off to the Russians about something that wasn't declassified until he shot his mouth off. No matter how stupid it was, the fact that it was a president who shot his mouth off, made it legal.

The "facts" that you point out about Hillary are the "facts" that FOX"News" has been putting out there. That those "facts" are not facts damaged her chances of getting elected. Lies and repetition of lies. It didn't matter if they were lies or not. Enough people believed them and repeated them. To the point that people who don't know fact from fiction will argue and swear those lies are the truth.

@jorj There was NO crime. NO charges. NO indictment. NO trial. What you have are ACCUSATIONS. NO proof. Whether or not you sit in front of FOX"News" or not, you're parroting their babble. You believe their lies. How many Benghazi hearings were there? Any proof of wrong doing? Yet all you heard over and over was Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi, Hillary, Hillary, Hillary. No proof of wrong-doing.

@jorj Comparing Hillary to a mob boss? Really? She must be a Master Criminal. The same frail grandmotherly type that Trump said was too ill to be president. Hillary is accused of something. She MUST be guilty. You DO KNOW, that in America, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty? Even Hillary Clinton.

They need to talk to you. You have all the proof of Hillary's crimes. You KNOW Hillary is guilty. How do you know? Someone said so. Who was it who told you that? shrug You JUST KNOW. No proof. No evidence. You JUST KNOW Hillary is guilty of SOMETHING.

@jorj The Russia deal is not a distraction. We have to wait. It's only been a few months. The Benghazi investigations went on for around 4 years. There have been actually guilty pleas with the Russia investigation. Indictments. Charges. NOT the same thing. Once again, you're parroting the FOX"News" NRA/Republican Party version.

What you have with Hillary, and continue to repeat, is ALLEGATIONS. Not fact. You've heard those things. NO PROOF.

@jorj The Russia investigation is not that old. I'm talking the Mueller investigation.

A GOP opponent hired a firm who hired Steele. Then when Trump got nominated the Democrats took over payments. All that was pre-election. Steele was so freaked out by what he found about Trump, that he contacted the FBI through back channels. They had ALREADY been looking into him because one of Trump's minions was running his mouth to an Aussie diplomat.

There have been several indictments involving Trump minions. That's how it goes. They arrest the little fish and get them to turn on the big fish. Patience.

My guess is, after all is said and done, it will all be money laundering behind the entire thing. That's how the Russians have Trump by the balls.

James Comey didn't have any Hillary evidence. He backtracked. ZERO EVIDENCE.

Trump, and you, keep saying no collusion with Russia. If that's true, why does Trump want to stop the investigation?
What is Truno afraid of?
Trump said, on NBC, to Lester Holt, that he fired Comey to stop the Russian Investigation.
If Trump is innocent, won't the investigation clear him?

Bottom line. YOU believe the lies. You keep repeating vague FOX"News" NRA/Republican Party rhetoric, but you have NO proof. Just what you've heard them say.

Remember "Pizzagate"? Hillary and the Democrats were running a child sex ring in the basement of this pizza place in DC? This dude, who'd heard about it, got his rifle and charged down there to save the day. When he got there with his gun he found a pizza place. No basement. No child sex ring. Dude went to jail. Like you, he believed the liars who had lied to him.

@jorj I never said you're a liar. You believe the lies. You're trying to convince me to believe what I know to be lies with NO evidence. Just repetition of the same untrue, false stories.

The difference between me and you is, I'm not repeating lies. I'm not going to tell you something is a fact that I know is not a fact.

@jorj The Mueller investigation is ongoing and he's playing it close to the vest. He DOES have some guilty pleas and Manafort is in big trouble also with the indictments. Trump's lawyer is in trouble too, but how related to treason with Russia, I don't know.

You said Hillary is a criminal. What is your proof.

@jorj Nope. Those are allegations. She's rich so she must be a crook. Something about Weiner's laptop. Hillary must be guilty of something. Comey made a statement saying how careless Hillary was, but no crime. That was the gist of it. VERY poorly timed a week before the election.

What is your explanation for Colin Powell, Bush's Secretary of State, saying he did the exact same thing as Hillary, before Hillary, and no one said "boo" about it? Why is Hillary a criminal and Powell is not?

Several of Trump's family members and campaign people met with a Russian agent, in Trump Tower, with Trump one floor away. Don Jr. ADMITTED it and they have his emails to prove it. No collusion?

@jorj You're wrong. Here's a quote from Comey:

"... he also criticized Hillary Clinton for discussing classified material on an unclassified system — and for not creating a “healthy leadership culture” in which advisers would counsel her otherwise.

He added that penetration of Clinton’s servers, particularly China, “was a serious concern of ours … but we couldn’t find the trail that established that any foreign adversary had gotten into her servers.” "

[politico.com]

@jorj Nope. Look at the link. It's from yesterday. Back when Comey "reopened" the Hillary investigation that had never closed, he eventually said that what was on that laptop, was what they already had. So, oops, there was no need to "reopen" the investigation a week before the election.

Comey, FBI Director, had lead the FBI investigation. Not you. Not me. Who knows what happened and if there was a crime? The people who did the investigation.

If you'd like to repeat yourself, again, I'll be glad to point out that you're wrong, again. You don't have any facts. I really like how you pretend to know what the law is and a law school graduate, and former FBI Director like Comey, doesn't. Very believable.

@jorj You're wrong.

You can’t live above it, only ignore it. Politics affects all of us every day, in every aspect of our lives, so ignore it at your peril. That doesn’t mean you have to join the fray, but simply remain aware of it, and of what’s being said, and by whom.
When it comes to bashing Trump, I say go wild, break a leg, whatever! Having personal faults or whatever you want to call them, doesn’t disqualify anyone from calling out the perceived faults of others when those others affect our lives. And especially when they’ve volunteered to do it. It’s open season on them.

Here, here!!

14

Trump has lied more than any other president that I remember. He lies, then lies again to cover up the earlier lies. He is incompetent, ignorant, refuses to read, take advice from people who are smarter and better informed than he his, or learn. He is a Putin toady, but regularly antagonizes our allies. He appointed people to important cabinet positions, who's agenda is to destroy what they are in place for. He gives those positions to billionaires who have given him a lot of money, to reward them. They are incompetent people who are destroying the environment, destroying the public school system, selling off our national parks, getting rid of laws about air quality and water quality. He has increased the national debt, to give his billioniare cronies and himself huge tax breaks, on the backs of the poor and middle class. He is the worst thing to happen to America and if people ignore it, go along to get along, and normalize it, we will pay a terrible price. Remember how Germany did the same thing with Hitler? Living above the fray is much more comfortable may work out for you. I am afraid that when it does all crashing down, living above the fray won't be very helpful. I choose to stand up against the evil and danger of the cult of Trumpism. I don't think that calling out his abnormal, oligarchic reign is bashing him. I think it is imperative. I don't resort to name calling, but I will not ever normalize this monster.

The words of a Patriot … as the world agrees ~

14

Having grown up as an evangelical, I really can't help but point out how Trump is the very embodiment of the Antichrist. Seriously. He is everything Jesus stood against, but worshiped as a messiah. I have to make that known. Otherwise I feel like I'm enabling him.

14

He is dismantling the government. And the Republicans are allowing it!He appointed Scott Pruitt to kill the EPA and he's doing it.We should be taking to the streets over this Russian crap.MAGA,
Mueller Aint Going Anywhere!

14

I'm not tired of it at all ... especially when it's well deserved.

14

Being as I feel we are on the edge of complete loss of the rule of law and the imposition of fascism, I will have to disagree in this case. I have not found that sticking my head in the sand ever helped any cause I found worth pursuing.

12

Personally I stay away from political discussion because quiet frankly imho it is beyond hope.” ...then why’d ya just start one..?

Varn Level 8 May 6, 2018

...follow up: It’s amazing how many political novices feel they’ve become experts by advising others not to give a damn…

lol

@btroje ...wish I could too.. But damn, I take this stuff seriously 😕

@Varn I do to . just laffing at the OP statement you commented on.Trump needs to be checked at every opportunity.I almost think they hope we get tired of it and give up.I am more in favor of calling it in an effective way. Blowing off steam is good to but I would like to get rid of the fire behind that steam

12

Personally, I'm tired of the perpetual name calling. The Repugnants, the libtards, the snowflakes, the idiots. If you can't rise above 3rd grade name calling, I have no interest in talking with you...its a waste of time and breath.

"Who you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you're saying." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'll agree on this point. I never liked all this 'libtard' this and 'rethuglican' that, either, and it gets more grating by the day. It's not clever and it's not the sick burn people who use it think it is. We need to voice our objections in a manner that can be taken seriously.

Name calling takes away any possibility of having a discussion and understanding.

11

Not me. Trump is a totally reprehensible excuse for a human being. He deserves every bit of the ill will he generates.

11

He isn't being criticized enough. Honest criticism is NOT bashing. Maybe it is more worthwhile to get tired of The Trumphole's bashings...

11

I'm in the UK but lived in the USA for 3 years and have many American friends along with an American son-in-law. From what I've witnessed of Mr Trump's actions, he appears to me to be the worst President yet, and it puzzles me how so many Americans are not more attuned to that, and are willing to take your point of view.

Mr Trump appears to be a bully and has made a lot of decisions on the basis of winding back Obama policies that appeared to be good for the country.

He doesnt seem to think things through very well.
Case in point: He's been making threatening noises towards China for some time. China's latest reaction to that has been to cancel its soybean contract with the USA and place it elsewhere.

Nett result: The USA's soybean producers will be out of pocket to the tune of several million dollars, and it could wipe out a lot of Mid-Western farmers.

Also you should understand that Mr Trump's support from the Christian fundamentalists is based on the fact that they believe that he will instigate WW3 which fits in with their end-times beliefs in Armageddon and the Instigation of the Rapture.

@eeyorn I think a lot of people know that

Well if that's the case do we appear to be sleep-walking towards disaster?

9

Me, possibly.

Trump is being used like a patsy.

He’s a symptom of the utter decay of our corrupt system of government.

He was put on a pedestal by the Hillary campaign and their media cronies to win the GOP nomination so they had a better chance of winning the general election.

The fact that Trump actually won was a testament to what a horrible candidate Hillary was, and that our Rust Belt is imploding and no one cares.

Trump is a horrible person. And if he can win, you know our country is in the shitter.

9

This level of deceit is without precedent.

8

It is true that we always want a scapegoat or someone to look down on. But beyond Trump's lies are his nastiness and lack of any moral compass and I would be hard pressed to name another president of our country who was as degenerate as he. I think many of us are just in shock and totally afraid of where he is leading our country and we feel a need to keep it in our faces

@geko You’re 20 years out of the loop here.. But, ‘Clinton’ is apparently the Go-To name of the far-wrong ~ Strange, usually those having fallen for that rhetoric are in church right now 😉

@geko did you know that humans and chickens share the fact that they are social animals? When they become massively overpopulated and put into small dwellings they immediately begin killing each other. Just saying

@Varn good come back.

@geko but Trump has said that with about 20 different women and we all know his track record with wives and cheating. I do believe that many of our presidents had affairs but I am also commenting on Trumps nasty derogatory comments on the poor, disabled, women in general, etc and the list goes on. A moral compass is much more than one's sexual behavior.

@AmelieMatisse yes it is the total picture not just the affair thing.

@btroje yes. We Americans are so caught up on the sex thing that we forget every other facet of people's ethics and morals

Bashing Obama, bashing Trump, bashing Brexit, bashing them, bashing the other side, bashing my side if it doesn't bash enough, bashing my bashing of all the bashing being bashed.
Instead of pointing out the flaws how about coming up with some real solutions? Don't put it off on others by saying 'the next election cycle' type stuff, I mean real, workable solutions. Take your anger and your hate and funnel it into a worthwhile cause or planting some flowers.
What changed me is that I got tired of all the hate, all the fear, all the finger pointing. If person X is responsible for whatever then what am I doing to reverse their position other than bitching? Can I come up with actual workable solutions that will work for both sides? Does winning at all costs encompass a Pyrrhic victory? Is it worth all that time and effort I put into the bashing? Can I do something more productive with that time and energy?
I can only answer these questions for myself, if I try to answer them for you then it becomes my opinion and you have one of those already. It's also why I don't discuss politics or religion with people I'm close to, it doesn't change anyone's mind and only leads to anger.

Workable solution: impeach Trump. Oh wait we can't because he has some butt kissing congressmen protecting him

I'm able to talk politics with many of my friends, often they have opposing views to mine. Its all a matter of treating them and their political beliefs with respect.

@jorj Yes I would rather have Pence because i am ok with people having different views and political directions. What I am not ok with is a idiot selling out our country and working just to protect his fragile ego. He is destroying our gov piece by piece, hurting people left and right and we are close to becoming an oligarchy. And lord knows what the Russians have on him. Must be something good with his refusal to do anything to thwart the cyber intrusions.

@jorj, @Bobby9 yeah i really think i know for myself who i would hate more. As a Native American and Mexican American woman Trump is much more of a threat to me than Pence. But what is more important is that he is a threat to many people beyond myself. Its not just about me. Its about all marginalized and vulnerable people in this country. And its about the threat to democracy itself. If people are not worried, they are not paying attention.

@MacTavish.... You have nail it dead center. That is exactly the way out of this. What can I do to move the ball forward??? If everyone of us.... etc Thanks for your thoughts, we will eventually start making changes to more constructive ways.

True, I've turned over a new Leaf. It's all in an attitude check, and the answer is always f*** it

@Bobby9 i would agree with you % if he was just a creep. But he will take us all down with his ignorance and folly. Right now he is working on destroying tribal sovereignty. Right now he is destroying the EPA, right now is destroying the state dept and destroying our standing in the world, etc.

7

I believe you are missing the core point here. Yes many presidents have been bashed but never was the nation afraid of losing our democracy. I am not tired of the investigation, I am supportive of it . I want to see the history unfolding and take heart in the effort to save the US from Putin and the like,
This story is much bigger than watergate or the Clinton junk, This story is one of selling the nation out and calling freedom of the press fake news. No way is this story to be even considered inconvenient to our lives, This is our history in action

EMC2 Level 8 May 7, 2018

I must disagree... Just because we have flaws doesn't mean that we can't shit on a shitbag. Everyone has flaws and pointing them out can help us realize that we have those flaws which allows us to fix them. If no one ever points out your flaws for most of your life you turn into trump. A guy who deflects every criticism back at the criticizer. A child.

I have a million flaws and I've fixed a million so far and many of the flaws I fixed had to be pointed out to me before I realized I was being a turd. Criticism is good. I wish trump could take it as well as he gives it cuz he gives it like a champion.

6

I understand where you're coming from, but I can't go along.

5

I almost want to say “fuck you” but I'm aware thats counter-productive. Trump is hardly a “scape goat” He is a compulsive liar, an ignorant buffoon and a narcissist. I suppose any person with aspirations to be President of this country is motivated by self interest … ( heck so are we all) but most of us have a modicum of human decency.
