Yeah. The only reason why most right wing authors reach the best seller lists is that conservative groups buy them in bulk and give it away as "swag" at conservative events. Generally, the conservative and religious seldom actually read, so they couldn't be "best sellers" any other way.
As for religious publications, I remember my parents buying all kinds of publications recommended by their church, but seldom actually reading any of them. They just mindlessly did what the church said to do.
