Hello, all. I’ve seen a lot of thought-provoking posts from good people in my short time here. I respect the intelligence on display.
However, I must leave because I cannot in good conscience call myself an agnostic anymore. I do believe there is a higher power. I’m making a tiny, tiny leap of faith. There’s something in my personal life that’s giving me hope, and I don’t want to jinx it. Maybe I’m being foolish, delusional, wishful thinking. I’ll just have to see.
Wish you all well, more tha. I can say. Namaste. ?
We will be here if you decide to come back.
The literal meaning of "agnostic" is "without knowledge," as opposed to "atheist", meaning "no gods," so there is little contradiction between calling oneself an agnostic while still believing in a higher power; so long as one can honestly claim no specific knowledge of that power.
Do what you must, but remember what you have learned. Good luck and take care of yourself!
