We need more atheists in office. Everyone I assume knows about these 7 states with laws on the books... I can't imagine they can be held up in court.

Yur not far down the hill from me… So I was at my local democrats’ brainstorming session ..where they/ we might find some candidates for the next election cycle when our chair instantly dismissed an enthusiastic suggestion … stating, “Oh, no, he’s an Atheist,” then moving right along.. Kinda made my stomach sink ..and blood boil at the same time. Wow, guess I’m not in Oregon anymore ~
Did you read the second answer on that page? That the Supreme Court already ruled on this?

Up until now, I've been under the impression that crap US governments pull regarding religion was okay if it was inclusive. But that clearly isn't the case, as noted in the article regarding a previous ruling.
@WizardBill
I have often said that in spite of the fact that I am honorable, stand up for what is right, am knowlegable, and willing and able to learn, not a liar, listen to people, try to be fair, would work for the people who elected me, and not be a spineless toady,I would not have a chance in hell of being elected to even the least important post, in the tiniest little burg, let alone to a state or federal position, because I am atheist. It is a sad commentary, that even a person as dishonorable and vile as Trump can get elected with the support of evangelicals, just because he is a pretend christian.
I share your pain…. With that, I’ve relegated myself to fighting in the trenches. No glory, slight influence, and occasional satisfaction. And yes, you need only lie to become president of these united states of america.. While the most honest among us are precluded by that honesty.
