"Loisiana new permitless concealed carry law goes into effect July 4"

This is not a good idea in my opinion. My LA. concealed carry class in 2017 was 5 hour instruction with 1 hour live fire at a range and can be renewed every 5 years. While I was in the Air Force (34 + years), our small arms training consisted of roughly the same number of hours of classroom instruction then range time. Unfortunately I'm afraid Louisiana is going to experience an increased number of accidental shootings and gun related deaths.
