Many Christians get excited about telling war and violence stories from the Bible. More people have been killed in the name of God, than for any other reason.

Try saying that to any fundamentalist Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Pastafarian!

Religion nearly always leads to fanaticism, which is anything but peaceful.

There is a lot of truth in this. My religious older daughter is constantly yelling at everyone and they are yelling back. Some of the conversations they have get so lame that lots of this yelling is whether or not you would go to the other one's funeral. I simply walk away and I am glad I do not have to live with this.
