I have been watching Chance this past weekend, and the protagonist makes this statement at the end of a key episode that resonated with me:
"We are all pilgrims, trying to figure out who we are and how to live in this world. And we go on until we can't."
What quote -- whether from a "real" person (living/dead), movie, TV show, song, celebrity, friend or family member -- has spoken to you in some way lately??
The opposite of courage is not cowardice. The opposite of courage is conformity - even a dead fish goes with the flow.
This didn't happen recently. It was years ago now. It was an episode of Fringe called One Night in October. The quote resonated with me and the context of the episode made it so impact-full... "Even when it’s the darkest, you can step into the light". It's not often that a movie or TV show has an impact on me, but that one definitely did change me. Great show, by the way, if you're into sci-fi and crime shows.
I loved Walter
I forget where I found this quote, but I love it.
Incur the reckoning now or inherit the debt later a pin prick pain followed by tranquility or sloth followed by self-flagellation. Those are the choices we all must face.
Do not put things off, or you will beat yourself up for it.
