":International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach said on Friday he is not aware of a ‘scientifically solid’ way to distinguish a man from a woman, defending the body’s decision to allow two boxers whose gender eligibility has been disputed to take part in the women’s boxing championship."

Here's an easy way, look at the pelvic bone.

Possible this is a closer answer. Still an intersex person has an unfair advantage in women sports.

Anything can be in dispute. Some people dispute that the Earth is round. Some people dispute the effectiveness of vaccinations. Some people dispute who the current president of the U.S. is.

But ignorant people disputing something doesn't automatically give the dispute any validation.

The two female boxers are women. They were born female and have been female their entire lives. That's fact.

The bone structure of the pelvis area is very different in shape and mass between the sex's. I agree with you and the IOC guy pissed me off saying science had no way of telling the difference, something with "hard" evidence. Well, bones are hard so I say X-rays of this area is a more accurate and scientific way of determining which sexual group to compete in.
I suspect these boxers pelvis's may indicate a different sex than their external reproductive organs do.

@Druvius Do you think there is a problem? If so, offer solutions rather than criticise. I suggest doing pelvic X-rays may be a more fair way of classing athletic gender than asking the participant how they identify or what external organs are visible in the case of this boxer. Got a better idea? Love to hear it

@puff Actually, the pelvic bone is NOT a reliable method to determine someone's sex. Archeologists cannot always accurately determine a person's sex based solely on their skeletal remains.

The Olympic council would hide some physical evidence trying to please everyone.

With the ceremony opening and woman boxing a possible man in their category. Really had the majority of the public in a controversial up roar.

This will probably make it alot more difficult for male transgender to complete in general.

Even my daughter thinks a man can have a baby. For now, I have to hide this conversation because our love is more important.

That specific bone structure is obvious and cannot be denied through Xray. Male and female look different and the male much heavier/ denser/ ; clear athletic advantage. A good boxer puts their hips into it.
I kinda posted for the IOC claim not aware of "scientifically solid" way of differentiating male from female. Bones are "solid", and evidence.

@puff

Olympic council did not notice or mention if the boxer has a penis or not. Or disspeil x or y failed 2023 past testosterone test. . Not enough evidence on both sides of the game. If I was a woman , who was forced to get the shit kicked out of me, I'd grabbed her by the pussy first and find out for sure.
