The annual invasion of the swallowtails has begun ?
The territorial claims have been made and my back porch no longer belongs to me. Nest building (and rebuilding to momma's exact standards) is starting.
I love listening to their conversations and arguments, and the babies are some of the derpiest looking little buggers, each with their own personality in just a couple weeks out of the shell.
But the little shits sure do mean business when keeping the nests safe. I'm not joking when I tell people I might have to start getting my mail with a helmet on.
And the poop... So... Much... Poop... ?
If they can at least do a better job of getting rid of mosquitoes we'll be on the right track.
Love-bug season in Florida starting now, you keep big supply of heavy-duty washer fluid. You need to get them off before they dry, if not you need a scouring pad.
Ix-NAY on the Oop-PAY! I've had ducks and chickens in the past and you wanna talk about poop? Ducks produce it, and produce it, and produce it.
@DuchessNyx Ducks literally shoot it out, seriously. I would never have imagined they'd produce in this manner, or this quantity. LOL! They were re-homed and are now living life on a large property with a lovely natural pond. =]
