We've all been slaves for thousands of years. Slavery takes many forms and has throughout history—some blatant, others much more covert. Our current form of capitalism is a great example of covert slavery. There are just enough exceptions to the rule that people point and say, 'See, I can be ultra-successful just like him or her.' But hope, in itself, is a form of slavery
