Asimov took too long to say what he wanted to say.

Here are some of my favorite Isaac Asimov quotes:

"Imagine the people who believe such things and who are not ashamed to ignore, totally, all the patient findings of thinking minds through all the centuries since the Bible was written. And it is these ignorant people, the most uneducated, the most unimaginative, the most unthinking among us, who would make themselves the guides and leaders of us all; who would force their feeble and childish beliefs on us; who would invade our schools and libraries and homes. I personally resent it bitterly." - Isaac Asimov

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." - Isaac Asimov

"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."
_ Isaac Asimov, Foundation

Besides twice taking too long, Asimov revealed his ignorance of and opposition to democracy.

Democracy curbs excessive power, it mitigates the damage an idiot can do to society.

@nogod4me

And the many unprivileged, who are neither stupid nor ignorant? They greatly outnumber the privileged.

@yvilletom Thus the: etc.

Please define “PROPERLY”.

Properly: in the strict sense; exactly.

"algebra is, properly speaking, the analysis of equations"

It is also one of the most contradictory mish mash of stories every strung together by 60 or so different authors, in different eras, and edited into oblivion by King James to further his ambitions.
