American woman leaves Europe because no one questions her ethnicity. How bizarre. I thought she would be pleased to be accepted just for herself .

Thar was her reason, or did she SAY it was her reason?

Not sure if it was her main reason but she seemed to find it a major problem

Class rather then race is more important in the UK although religious bigotry is quite common too.
There was a case that made headlines last year. A close friend of the late queen met a black woman at a fancy occasion and asked her where she was from. The answer was "Birmingham" or some other city in England. She then said "but where are you really from" This caused quite a stir when reported in the news media.

@Moravian @Moravian And Prince Phillip was known for his political correctness. Think she just wanted to be special and people didn't comply. People heard her accent, enough said already. Other countries don't continuously group people because it divides society.
