Trump is Weak, his Followers are Weak, They Grasp for Power Because They are Weak.

"When the weak want to give an impression of strength they hint menacingly at their capacity for evil. It is by its promise of a sense of power that evil often attracts the weak." - Eric Hoffer

"That self-hatred should generate in us an eagerness to unite with others seems to suggest that it is primarily against ourselves that we league ourselves with others." - Eric Hoffer

"It has often been said that power corrupts. But it is perhaps equally important to realize that weakness, too, corrupts. Power corrupts the few, while weakness corrupts the many. Hatred, malice, rudeness, intolerance, and suspicion are the faults of weakness. The resentment of the weak does not spring from any injustice done to them but from their sense of inadequacy and impotence. We cannot win the weak by sharing our wealth with them. They feel our generosity as oppression." - Eric Hoffer

"The fanatic is not really a stickler to principle. He embraces a cause not primarily because of its justness or holiness but because of his desperate need for something to hold onto." - Eric Hoffer

"The fanatic is perpetually incomplete and insecure. He cannot generate self-assurance out of his individual resources - out of his rejected self - but finds it only by clinging passionately to whatever support he happens to embrace. This passionate attachment is the essence of his blind devotion and religiosity, and he sees in it the source of all virtue and strength - He easily sees himself as the supporter and defender of the holy cause to which he clings. And he is ready to sacrifice his life." - Eric Hoffer

I am still considering the odds at 50:50 no matter how much each side glorifies itself.

The cult mind does not care about Integrity, truth, facts, or even reality, they only care about their beliefs. They know Trump is a pathological liar, they put their faith in his lies, they WANT him to lie. They NEED the lies. They will vote for the liar.

The infamous con man, M. Lamar Keene states it very well:
"The true-believer syndrome merits study by science. What is it that compels a person, past all reason, to believe the unbelievable. How can an otherwise sane individual become so enamored of a fantasy, an imposture, that even after it's exposed in the bright light of day he still clings to it — indeed, clings to it all the harder?… No amount of logic can shatter a faith consciously based on a lie." — M. Lamar Keene

"Good and evil grow up together and are bound in an equilibrium that cannot be sundered. The most we can do is try to tilt the equilibrium toward the good." - Eric Hoffer, Reflections on the Human Condition

Yes, I agree but Kamala Harris not coming across as a knight in a shining armor to Democrats either.. Whatever the facts are the perception of each side is they are righteous. But whoever plays the game better will win.

In my view, the Democrat camp is over excited and there may be a Trump surprise just like there was one for Hillary in 2016.
