I overheard a man earlier today. a small man wearing newish overalls and a trucker hat, a fellow much advanced in years. he was finishing up a chat he'd had in the checkout line with another overalled fellow. he said, "the ground has a lot to do with it." thinking on that all day.

could be. farmer, builder, electrician...i just thought it was a simple, but sturdy comment. could have been diggin' ditches or making paintings. i suspect it was farmer stuff.
