Is Jack Smith’s legal move proper or improper and politically motivated or not. [yahoo.com] go to 6 minutes for a clear rendition of the law. Another, unintended faux paw by Mr. orange idiot and SCROTUS themselves. These parties are viewing, complicated but established procedures, from their own narrow perspective. It’s why they are totally unfit to be in the positions of which they are in. It’s another reason why, if they retain power, we will be reduced to Germany in the 30’s and forties and the consequences will be very dire for all parties.

I am extremely concerned that the election will be overturned, either by GOP stalling to throw it to the House or by SCROTUS. Civil war would certainly ensue. I believe that the DOJ and Biden need to let those parties know that any further Trump sedition will be strongly prosecuted. (yeah, I know, in my dreams)

During the Civil war the South could muster an army almost as strong as the federal army. Now there is only one military so on which side would they be? We do know of the desperation of the Republicans so, for them, all's fair and there would be no rules.

@pedigojr I'd hate to see the military side with an illegitimate SCROTUS and Trump against an outraged electorate marching on Washington after an obvious Harris win. I'd like to think that Biden has explained to SCROTUS and Johnson that stealing the election would have dire consequences for them personally, courtesy of his new executive powers.

@racocn8 Seems like so many have their heads buried you know where. With the military it might be more complicated. When I was in we were told we were not in a democracy and we were to obey all orders (except those deemed illegal - yeah sure). However, the average military can vote and the officers are not allowed to influence those votes so perhaps, for some military personnel it's a way to go outside the 'obedience' order.
Another thing I observed (but supposedly this has proven to be wrong) is that when the draft was gotten rid of we went to the all volunteer military. Unfortunately, I noticed a lot of people with few marketable skills and with a family joined out of desperation. During the Vite Nam war there was a chubby, Mexican guy in m basic training group. He had committed manslaughter for killing a guy in bed with his wife. The judge gave the guy a choice which was to go to jail or go into the army.
