Because Trump is just disgusting.

YAY! Didn't know she has that much courage!

A lot of republicans still believe in the importance of bipartisanship. Her father, "W' is supporting her but not making any comment if and to who he will vote. I suspect he will sit this one out. When he was president we thought it couldn't get any worse. Were we wrong and I'm glad that my late partner did not live to see this and the extreme situation her own country, Iran, is in. She once told people that, even though her former husband was horrible as least he got them out of Iran because if they had stayed, with her mouth, she would either be in jail or dead.

@pedigojr She sounds like someone we'd all have enjoyed knowing!

@pamagain Even before we moved here we would visit a lot. The people here adopted her immediately which made her wanting to come even more. Even my daughter, Marilyn, immediately bonded with her and would tell things her from her life she didn't tell me until much later. I didn't plan on moving but she wanted to be a part of the special community on this island. I took it as an adventure which has now worn completely off. I've a therapist/life coach for a couple of years and she once told me she has heard of my partner from a lot of people and asked if I had a picture (I have lots) so I sent her this one. She is Iranian and gave a big Persian dinner complete with reading of poems from Rumi and Hafez (in Farsi with a lot of body language). She wore a typical costume and had Persian items.

Don't get me wrong as this was a very special time for me but I'm more than ready to move on to another chapter. I feel trapped here which makes things harder.

@pedigojr She was lovely, Jack. I'm sure she wouldn't want you to live in an environment where you feel ''trapped.'' Why not relocate?

@pamagain
Thank you for the comment. I appreciate the sentiment.

From early on we took up the idea if you truly love someone you want what's best for them and that meant getting on with your life and seeking another when the other dies. She was an extreme extrovert and an amazing cook. Had I died first guys would be lined up around the block offering to help for one of her meals (she often got people to do projects for one of her meals). I am a (trying to recover) introvert and don't have her powers. The big problem is living on an island. There's only some 3,000 full time residents here and we are dependent on the ferry system to get off island. That is an obstacle. So how does one meet others today? Normally dating sites and I've tried for 2+ years and had contact with 73 women. For a successful relationship one must have information and that takes time. Most women I meet are looking for 'chemistry' and aren't willing to spend time getting to know another. Also, I've found some women can be as shallow as men (they want someone tall with sex appeal).

Since I know you I will share a little something I did find. There is a site near you (a little N. of LA) that offers a match making service. It's become famous with a strong success rate. They do several interviews (including a video one) and one has to fill out a lot of paper work (not everyone gets accepted but I did). Matchmaking has been around (and still is in many places) for ages. The company (was on Oprah) and covers the whole country. It also has a strict protocol and philosophy which covers a lot. They want a high success rate. However, it is NOT cheap but for me a real investment often cost time, effort and money.

I want to move, am in a great location close to the village and ferry with a good view and several amenities (HS internet, solar and on). The house was heavily renovated in 2013. Right now I'm purging as much unneeded stuff and getting the property (1 acre) ready to sell. Maintaining this property has become a real burden and a lot of others in my age range are also making a transition. I'm the only one doing it alone.

Good for her.

What people miss here is that the first time around for Trump there were people around him who prevented him from doing all that he wanted. They are not there any longer. Now let's go to his bible complete with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Amendments to the Bill of Rights are missing 11 through 17. With these out of the way Agent Orange can do exactly what he wants to. This puts him in accord with Project 2025 which he avowed no knowledge of and that think group says their transition will be "bloodless if the left will allow it." If that is followed the way they intend it then Trump becomes our dictator and he is telling the truth when he says "you will not have to vote any longer."

Pass this on please. The big problem is nobody believes him and if you follow closely he is telling us exactly what they are going to do.

Prevented him from finally ending the war with Nth Korea? Or perhaps you mean prevented him from pulling out of Syria and elsewhere where US forces have been told to FO home (eg Iraq).
Whatever, you will find out soon enough. If dictator Trump scares, how did you feel when Biden wrote scores of executive orders in his first days? How about Biden having to be forced out and replaced by virtue of positioning rather than talent? The US is already a fascist society and the Democrat party utilise that power to full effect, far more than Trump ever did.
NB my plumbers daughter told me I should fix my pipes. I ignored her as celebrity through family makes your opinion about as valid as a lump of wood's.

The Trump Rethuglians have nothing in common with the party of Lincoln. There have been progressive Republicans in history, who have worked to pass laws, which worked for the good of US- and not for total corruption.
Even Hitler had to force the particans to the wall for the firing sqad, not like the 70 million eligable Trumsters who go willingly, gleefully- and calling out his name.
Quite obviously, he could get the power to terrorize the US and the entire world.

@puff You are nuts; you are banned. Being an every-day moron is revolting enough, but you have turned stupidity into a proffession.

@Diogenes America, you are nuts; you are banned. Being an every-day moron is revolting enough, but you have turned stupidity into a profession.
Have a nice election. Ukraine and Israel are lost. Western dominance is over. Trump will win. Them be my crazy predictions.

Trump could not do anything as damaging as Biden/Harris have done with our Southern Border. The bills for their health care and education are just starting.

@puff It's hard for me to believe what I am reading here. No wonder Trump has so many followers. People want him to take over, not just to win. This take over ends America as we know it. WTF is wrong with you people? How did I feel in Biden's first days as he wrote executive orders, you ask. I'm not sure. How would I feel in Jimmy Carter's first days as he wrote some? Traitorous nonsense from someone who is not even an American.
Now we get into Biden/Harris at our Southern Border and bills for their healthcare and education just starting. If you mean the illegals then I assume someone has poisoned your attorney mind. You certainly have the wrong news feed. Illegals just come here and immediately get healthcare and education. Is that how it works? Before that they were getting on Social Security and brought mom and pop here getting them on it too within 6 months. I read these things and it is no wonder that Trump is winning. It seems as if he has educated a lot of you very well. Let's debate Obama's birth certificate.

"If the left allow it" as who in their right mind (we know who) thinks this is possible. Already large, influential groups as FFRF are gearing up and starting to do battle (legally not violently) to those that would try to enact the 2025 project. I also suspect that IF he were to win the make up of congress might not go his way and that many states (as Washington) will enact provisions that go contrary to the project. Who would force us, the military? This state already has a very heavy military presence including numerous Trident nuclear missile subs and a major Naval air station, in my back yard, literally. This military is as dependent on the state for support as the nation is on them.

@DenoPenno I don't care about the US border, I care about international borders the US ignores. Only bordered by two countries, but bases in over 80.

Biden/ Harris legacy
Afghanistan
Nord Stream
Weaponise SWIFT thus weakening the $USD and promoting BRICS
Genocide in Gaza
Abuse power of veto at the UN against the Whole world (minus Israel, Narau and Micronesia)
Destroy lives of women and children in both Afghanistan and Palestine.
Hide an incapacitated potus away from the public and install a candidate without a primary.
As Commander in Chief, a sterling job supporting Ukraine/ NATO

So you want to reward the Biden/ Harris admin with a second term? Because Trump is not going to continue the Biden legacy? Or because you perceive Trump will ruin 'merica's precious democracy?
It's popcorn time for me, the next five days so have fun!!!
My prediction has not changed.

@pedigojr If Trump wins and the Bill of Rights has amendments 11 through 17 removed from it he can do any damned thing he wants to and we have no legal recourse to stop him. This goes along with his talk of changing the Constitution. We are all talking different things here involving more than borders and international borders. I'm talking about the Orange Monster who right now would have Liz Cheney up against a firing squad. That man is not fit to be in change of a nation. Her crime was to disagree with Trump. We cannot allow this man to carry the nuclear football. He is a greater danger than anything going on right now.

@DenoPenno Yesterday I received an e-mail from a republican senator (have no idea how he got my email address) begging me to donate to him so that Republicans can retake the Senate. He claimed the party had run out of money and was looking for more donation sources. I really wanted to return a message that why would I support someone who has put his allegiance to the party over that of the country. These GOP politicians are not real politicians but robots who fail to understand the idea of checks and balances or are simply to cowardly to stand up for what's right.
