It doesn't help that male koalas fight a lot and get open wounds and females mate with many males. This makes it easy for chlamydia to spread. The disease was originally picked up by koalas from sheep and cattle............ but the mind boggles as to where the sheep and cattle got it from in the first place.

That's so sad! They could still treat them with something natural..not an antibiotic.

Goldenseal
Alternative Medicine Review: berberine, found in goldenseal demonstrates ability to fight viruses and bacteria, including chlamydia. Also, in a clinical study, chlamydia of the eye was cured, with no relapses, even one year after treatment with eye drops made from berberine.

Echinacea
Widely used by generations as a remedy, echinacea is highly effective against STDs, including gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Olive Leaf Extract
It contains oleuropein, a strong anti-microbial that has been found in studies to destroy bacteria that causes gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis.

It is stress. Loss of habitat, dogs, cars.
I do wildlife rescue, so many are infected, often worms, and a koala equivalent of HIV.
Given their particular diet, koalas do not just eact any old gum tree, they must move from tree to tree. On one hell they may eat tallow, 50 metres away they won't touch it and need brushbox. Then fighting for resources and mates among themselves, nowhere to live, no food, getting blinded by light, savaged by dogs. Clock up another trophy kill for mankind.
