Was arguing how religions have rites not rights. He said no, religions have rights. So I said "If my religion used human sacrifice and we were required to eat their flesh and drink their blood then that is our right and not a rite?"

I too once had a catholic literally screaming at me that the Eucharist was not ritual cannibalism as it was only a symbolic act, for which I had one answer
Transubstantiation.
Shuts them up every time.

I was raised Catholic. Any Catholic that says the Eucharist is nothing more than a symbolic act would make a good Protestant.

agreed, but I've met a lot who rely on the ignorance of others and simply will not discuss the "T" word
