Looking back at some of my past relationships, I can honestly say without hesitation, I am glad things worked out the way they did. It just wasn't meant to be.

Being in a situation that isn't working is a waste of time.

I always make the comment that I was in 5 Wedding Parties or more during my life. I never saw them again after that. I remember in a Marriage Class during my Senior Year in HS that the Monk told us that if you didn't have children that the Marriage would not work out. I find a High Correlation of the Hight School Sweet Hearts are the ones that succeeded. My College Years did nothing to change this as they were usually drug infused but less successful than the High School ones. Forget the Army or ever thinking of getting married while serving. Then you go to the Religions that have arranged Marriages and they seem to have some mileage attached along with some money, but that happens to be the number 1 reason to buy it and not be able to trade it in. I never married although I came close a few times. I never looked good on paper, and tried too hard.

I have to agree, but only on hindsight.

The good, bad, indifferent...all led to where I am today - and that's a good place.
No regrets, no guilt.

Rather try and have failed thousand times than wonder forever on what could have been

Some would say that was God's plan... ?

I think I can honestly say at this time, I do not know what was meant to be, or not meant to be. I don't know how one determines that, except by arbitrary judgement from personal experience. "Meant to be' to me, has an implication of external determinants, and I'm uncertain as to what those would be.

Whew! I hear ya...

When one door closes another door opens...yes a terrible and over used cliché..but it's true!

No doubt. It hasn't always been smooth water, but we all survived to talk about it

Oh, absolutely no doubt, & even the ones I feel bad about, no regrets!

I absolutely agree 100%.
