Show me your furry child who melts your heart!
This is my little buddy....his ears! those feet/hands! his whiskers!
He lives free roam in my bedroom and is the best little cuddle buddy.
He is a rescue that stumbled into my life the same week I lost my 18 year old doggie daughter last year.
So, what furry friend makes you go "awwwwww...."
I have 3 rescued senior Samoyeds... all with different back-stories and rescued at various times in different states. I've been rescuing and adopting this breed almost non-stop for 30+ years. Happy dogs now and living the life in the mountains of West Virginia.
Rescues are the best.... kudos to you for having such a big heart to rescue the homeless <3
Gorgeous! Both of my basset hounds are rescues. I'm a twice-over failed foster home.
@obviouspseudonym Yeah, one of mine is a "failed foster". Couldn't give her up!
I'm coming to see them on my next trip east!!! OMG! So pretty and fluffy!
There is nothing better than the love/trust of an old doggie who has spent over a decade by our side <3 <3 <3 My last doggie daughter passed away last year at the age of 18. My heart still hurts.
This is my cat, Oliver. When he was just a kitten he came by my house and we would feed him until I begged my parents to keep him. We named him Oliver because he was an orphan and when we would give him food he always wanted more. He is now well fed and a big, loveable, fluff ball.
That's a great reason behind his name.....
I had two brothers, Stan and Ollie ?
I got rats too! Dio and Lemmy.
Ratatoes!!! Yay!!! <3 <3 Hi Dio and Lemmy!!! Look at those faces!!! ^^^swoon^^^^
I have 3. It's hard to get a picture of all of them, but from left to right they are Morty, Toby, and Sherlock.
awww....they look like such good boys
@SkotlandSkye Thank you! Though, good is in the eye of the beholder. The corgi is only 10 months old, and has just gotten to the ultra-destructive, teenager stage. It's a good thing he's really cute.
When I bought my first single-family home in about 1980, the owner's Basset Hound (Clancy) conveyed with the home... he was part of the deal. Yup, really. He was a great dog.
My bubby, Fred. 108 pounds of love and affection who can hold a quart of water in his lips when he gives a kiss. He has to touch me when we go to bed, he is always near. His farts can peel wall paper and drive some people from the room.
He's a Boxer/Lab mix who I saw when I was coming back from the vet with my older dog, Charlie. Fred was running up the road, I slowed to not hit him, pulled into the drive and he walked around the car. Tried to find his owner to no avail, a week later got his puppy shots and he was mine. He weighed 10 pounds at 10 weeks of age.
My wife’s monkey
not funny
Handsome boys.
@Booklover
As are your two.
Are those your horses?
Our two cats are brothers. Rescued from Sisca.
@bigpawbullets the horses in my profile pics? They belong to my sister. The gray one I'm talking to is Tinkerbell. She was tiny as a baby, could walk right under her mama's belly thus, Tinkerbell
This is my son's dog. I'm just her erstwhile caretaker when he's deployed. Claire is a rescue and was terrified of me when she was adopted. She gradually overcame her fear, warmed up to me, and now she's one of the most affectionate canines I've ever known.
Her gradual determination to learn to trust me, makes her loving greetings the most rewarding I've ever known.
ohhhh ... what an adorable little fella! that nose, those whiskers! You're so lucky to have each other.
He's my love <3
One reason I could no longer have rats as pets is because I have Rat Terriers, lol. Two have passed on but I still have two of them and a couple cool cats...
Lolol was gonna show mine but @omalita already did lol
Your little buddie is a cutie❣?
Yes he is! and I tell him that constantly! my little floofy 'tater <3
@SkotlandSkye
Floofy tater is cute name too?
Wow, you have a regular zoo.
Just one very special rattie.... hardly a zoo.
@SkotlandSkye I love animals, the more the merrier.
Looks like he got cheated on tail size.
So, yeah...his tail is about 2" shorter than it should be. As I said, he's a rescue. He's also missing an eye... See, he was fed to an "angry worm" who was too small to swallow him and he got "stuck" in the jaws of death. The owner of the "danger noodle" tried to pull him out and broke the tip of his tail off....and finally he was extracted by a veterinarian. After all the trauma...he was almost PTS....but he was rescued instead. He's now had an amazing life for someone who should have been poop. I love him beyond words. How we found each other in this crazy world is a miracle....but we needed each other and we were meant to be together it's a real love story! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
@SkotlandSkye Good for you.
