Agree completely, to those who had loving parents, cherish them, respect them, love them. But just remember, some parents are not deserving of these sentiments. We are not bad people because we resent the treatment we received. And a punch in the mouth to those who espouse "forgive and forget".
I choose to remember and recover.

Totally agree with you there. My mother put me threw pain and suffering, although I do not blame her as she did not know any better herself.

I do blame my parents, ok, they both had ok childhoods by all accounts, yet my brother and I did not repeat their actions,.
Join the club. Haven’t spoken to mine in nearly 27 years. I’m better for it. I do have a great step mom though. HMD if you are a mom.

I still have contact reluctantly as it is the only way I get to communicate with my sister, but I relocated interstate 30 years ago to get away from my family. I understand how you feel.
