What’s the most obtuse thing you’ve heard a believer say or ask about a non-believer? My two favorites have been, “Where do atheists go when it’s time for church?” and “What book do atheists rely on instead of the Bible?” I’m at home making breakfast, and I read whatever I want.
Dinosaur bones? - Satan put them there to fool you.
Carbon dating? - It doesn't work.
Evolution? - No such thing.
Our place in the universe? - The universe revolves around us.
What book? I would probably reply: Why am I not a Christian by Bertrand Russell. Still one of my faves from my early 20's.
“I’m worried about where you’re going to spend eternity.”
Actually have heard this several times from family.
LOL! They've been controlled by fear of hell for so long they can't visualize freedom!
"How can you be a moral person and an atheist?" I get asked by Christians. My atheist friends get asked this rude, judgmental question, too.
Well, New Zealand, Iceland, Norway and Japan are three of the five safest countries in the world, and they aren't Christian.
@powder In the US, 65% of the population claim to be "Christian."
In NZ, 57% claim to be to Christian. That's pretty high in both countries.
Crime in Japan is the LOWEST, compared to other nations, with a 1% claiming to be Christian.
