Noam Chomsky spoke about climate change recently, and said climate scientists have estimated 5C by 2100, which has occurred in the past at the same time as a mass extinction.
Maybe the oligarchs who run the world, are planning a war to reduce world population, so they may survive. An atomic war might cause a nuclear winter. They are paranoid, are they crazy enough to start a nuclear war? They are crazy enough to deny climate change, just to make a few bucks.

@NotConvinced what about destruction of food sources? Will hot houses be enough to feed millions! And what about support for those hot houses? What about storms that destroy hot houses and people, because of increase in temperatures! What about illnesses brought on by higher heat...for certain people?

I suspect the war is already happening. That is, the oligarchs are intentionally raising greenhouse gases. Take the huge natural gas leak in California that went on for 6 weeks, for example. Or the neglect of fixing all the minor leaks in the natural gas infrastructure. A main component of natural gas is methane. As I've read, methane is a worse greenhouse gas than CO2.

Probably yes, but only if they can guarantee their own, personal survival. May cost a few hundreds of millions to build the underground chambers with their own energy supplies and closed circuit production of vegetables, etc, but heck! Why not!
Oh hell. There won't be enough people left to fleece for more cash. Cancel the cement order!
