I had written a question concerning this very issue and will post it now (maybe I'm naive but what is a man-cold?)

To me having another person around lessens the misery of a sickness. There has been a spate of colds in our area and some have gotten serious enough for the person to go to the clinic and get help. Help is the key word.

I understand illnesses are often contagious (teachers are at especially high risk) and having people around increases the chances of getting sick. I am alone but need to get out and socialize. Actually, being sick alone scares me (that fear keeps me extra precautius- hand washing, no touching the face). One of my biggest fears is getting a bad disease and dying alone. When my partner was dying that thought really hit me and I was actually happy I could give her the attention she needed and deserved.

What about chicken soup? Vitamin C in high doses? Vaporizer to help you breathe? Nyquil will just prolong cold-knock you out to sleep. Vicks vapor Rub-Dr. Sassy advice lol.

Mancolds are the worst! Especially to everyone around you.

This reminds me of a conversation that I just had yesterday!

Him: look up this medicine I'm on & tell me the side effects

Me: nausea, heartburn, diarrhea Gut stuff mostly That & vitamin B-12 deficiency. But hell, that's easy to counter. Just go to the store & get you in of them vitamin b pills & start taking them. They are cheap enough

Him: Na, I want to get off of this pill. I don't want to take any more pills

Me: It's vitamins, not drugs. Same vitamins as in the food you eat. It's like natural shit, they just put it in a pill. (used keyword "natural" to speak his language)

Joe: Nope, I just leave that up to god above. He'll take care of me.

Me: Do you eat every day?

Him: Yea, I eat

Me: So you actual put food in your mouth? You don't just starve yourself & expect him to ****ing feed you too?
