Nothing compares to cancer as far as the pain and suffering of loved ones who may see a child or young mother die from it. My wife had a lobe of her lung removed 13 years ago due to lung cancer. About 10 months later she had 4 tumors in her brain. Those were radiated both by targeted beam and whole brain radiation. 1 more tumor in the brain was removed about 1 year later.
She is still alive today although quality of life is very poor.
