Sounds like the rational used by republicans. Why read when I know if I read I will learn the truth. I read somewhere sex is good for us so all I do now is continue to read about sex.

It will expose you to critical thinking, and that is always suspect.
I'm impressed by a man who knows what his priorities are. Will that be ALL reading or just that science and health stuff, cause if it was me I'd be hard pressed to give up my Stephen King.

As you mentioned King, I must inquire...did you see the film adaption of 'The Mist' (my fave story of his) and what did you think of the 'new ending'? I personally hated it...and did something about it...but I await your response before potentially boring you further...
