Ban Doors Rather Than Guns?
I watched this Bozo governor in an interview with George Stephanopoluos(sp?), and when George questioned him on the obvious correlations between expansive availability of guns and incidence of gun violence, as born out by stats from around the developed world, he was quick to dismiss other nations' experiences as somehow irrelevant to the U.S. (because we are special---translation: "we are God's second Chosen People, after Israel) and he literally invoked his religious faith as grounds for "knowing" gun regulation won't mitigate the violence problem.
If I were to bet, I'd say he doesn't fully believe his own words. Rather, he is bought off by the NRA and is wrapping his pitch to constituents in religious and patriotic sounding phrases to mask the ethical poverty of the policy positions he is pushing for the gun manufacturers.
So, when an insane gunman strolls into the only entrance of a school and starts picking people off, all he (yes he) has to do is wait as they run towards him trying to escape through the only exit.
I suppose they could try diving out the windows but they would probably be easy targets there as well.
Then there are the fire codes that were already mentioned.
All those entrances are required because very likely at some point in time, a lack of doors resulted in kids being burned alive in a fire.
Gun rights advocates say that if you ban guns, then they will just find another way to kill people... like arson.
Idiots... we even know they are... they still get voted in office.... how is that?
Because idiots are allowed to vote. A big failing of democracy, but what's the alternative?
@Petter. Hmmm.... I guess there ain't one
