If someone is abusive towards me, my mean trick is to write a withering response and then block them, so they will get a notification that I've posted and the whole world can see it but them. 🙂

I don’t think anyone has blocked me yet. But I could be wrong. Don’t really pay attention to it. I haven’t found anyone on here yet that I feel need to be blocked yet. I even follow a few people I disagree with on a lot of stuff just to see what kind of crap they post. But don’t bother commenting on the post it’s just not worth it.

You start to see more "404 messages - or File not Found" lol

I have been blocked by at least 3 people. Got too close to 2 of them. One lives nearby but not interested in talking to me. Shit happens. Move on.

I'm more amused by it than anything else. I think it's silly.
Especially when it's over a difference of opinion.

@KKGator, i block people if they can't keep to a difference of opinion, but have to become personally judgmental &/or abusive - else all's allowed 😉

@walklightly I have blocked one account that I think was fake.

@Gareth, what is a fake account? this is a genuine question; isn't there always a human being behind an account?

@walklightly Without naming names, the account handle and all the posts were narrowly political, there was minimal biographical detail and the profile pic could have been of a movie star. I didn't feel there was any genuine personality, just a front made to disseminate a rather reactionary political message.That's not why I'm here.

How do we know if we've been blocked?

I typically find out when I get notifications that someone has liked a post I've commented on, and I can no longer view the post.
I usually double-check that by seeing if I can still access the member's profile (IF I can remember their name). If I can't see the profile, I've been blocked.

@KKGator 😮 sometimes ppl delete comments too tho.

@Qualia True. However, if the comment has been deleted entirely, no one else would be able to see it and continue to 'like' responses, or continue to comment.
