QUOTE: 'I hope, for His sake, that God does not exist - because if He does He has an awful lot to answer for.
-science fiction author Philip K. Dick
He would not be brave enough to show his face - He would be dragged of the The Hague and charged with crimes against humanity,
I love this quote. On my group's Facebook closed page, I often post quotes and I have shared this one. I have a file of quotes that I started when I was a teenager. It's rather extensive and there undoubtedly duplicates. Over the last two years since my coming out and being on the board of our group, many of my quotes have to do with atheist, humanism and what's wrong with religious doctrine.
One of my favorite quotes is: " I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." ~ Stephen Roberts
I saw a similar quote in my Holocaust studies class. It was scrawled on the wall of a concentration camp and it was to the effect, "If God exists, he will have to beg my forgiveness," and I don't think there's any more eloquent way to put it than that. If there is a God and he gave us all life, fully aware of what our lives would be like, why would he create some people just to suffer? That seems horribly cruel for what is supposed to be a perfect, loving god.
