Thanks to the Royal Wedding, this was the first time in a year and a half where I didn't have to wake up to Trump or a school shooting massacre. I actually forgot how much of shit-hole America was.
Yup. I buried my nose in the British SkyNews channel to watch every royal wedding detail, relieved not to have to see endless Brexit news, school shootings, and Trump craziness.
and realised what a fuck up England is instead lol
True - a great, fun diversion. The ceremony itself was a bit heavily laden with god stuff - but the Bride and Groom were simply delightful. And there is something so awe inspiring (to me, anway), about the traditions and history that England has. Yeah - I liked it.
Though I don't quite see America as a "shit-hole" , but by comparison to many other countries, we are far from great, and getting farther away from any semblance of greatness almost daily. <sigh>
And the hats were fabulous!!!
Oh man. I missed it but LOVE HATS!!!! /hat freak
@Qualia The colorful fascinators were fascinating, LOL! I loved it all. The British wedding guests were mostly in boxy, tacky, 1950s-esque clothes, but when Meghan's show biz friends started going into St. George's chapel, the eye candy improved drastically!
I especially LOVED Amal Clooney's goldrenrod-colored dress and matching hat. So did the crowd, and the SkyNews camera, which couldn't stop swinging back to her.
@birdingnut I did see that on google images. Fantastic ensemble even tho I would never try to rock that myself. LOL
I do miss the bleep out of being able to wear any hat i want though....sigh. I've got some badass ones myself. All time favorite black feather velvet hat...
@Qualia Pics! Pics! Post any photo of you in your black feather hat, no matter how old the pic.
@birdingnut ok made it into a high contrast for some anonymity.... but...here it is again. (i've posted it on here someplace else before)
It's is my all time favorite hat.
