Crow Funerals [facebook.com]
we have a lot of crows here. I wish there were as many ravens. they are awesome. but speaking of animal awareness: THe bull that was a sire to much of the herd of one of my exes died.We dug a hole and had to pull him across the pen to the grave. THere was a big mound of dirt in the females pen. One of the females got on top of that mound and started lowing when we started to move the body. Once she started the rest of the herd joined in a chorus that was just mournful sounding. THey kept it up until the body was buried then went silent
Crows are a very smart birds. Them and Ravens can lean speech, they are very social and quite hard to sneak up on. They communicate with their caws and cackles. We get thousands of them roosting near our one mall and downtown at times. What a mess they make! I have seen cars that were parked under the roosting trees become totally covered in crow poop to the point you could not tell what color it was originally!
LOL.... otoh given the typical limited choices available in vehicle shades of paint crow shite sounds like an improvement LOL
Facebook and I don't get along super well, so I'm glad @Petter told us about @evidentialist post. An intriguing post, but too much I feel, I think, etc. Interesting concept though.
I haven't been on FB for over a month. I'm tired of unending posts about pets, meals, sunsets, and trivia.
@Petter -- Damn, I was just getting ready to post my breakfast photos. Guess that's out now. How can I make points if I can't post my more interesting meals?
@Qualia -- Although I agree with the observation, "I think" and "I feel" are apropos when there is uncertainty or subjectivity. For example, I feel at liberty to say, "I think @Petter is a nice guy," because I don't know that as fact. After all, he may be an arse in intellectual clothing. Because he has written on these pages with grace and charming wit may be an act to gain our confidence so that he can later swoop down out of a cloudy and moonless sky on his unsuspecting prey with long, blood darkened talons. I don't know. What say you, Petter?
@evidentialist Holy cow that was quite the delectable sentence you just tapped out I may have to follow you. I would but notifications in this joint are a nightmare. So consider yourself fanned without it being official.
@evidentialist Hungry! .... and planning a carnivorous breakfast!
@evidentialist, @Qualia Why follow? It's more fun to stalk your prey!
@evidentialist Thanks for your assessment. I'm very sure @Petter is a nice guy. The video presented itself as if what they had determined was fact. At least that's the way I watched it. But they assumed too many things to make me believe that their reason is really the reason at all.
