Good review & it looks like a very interesting book. Thanks, hon!
P.S. I'm re-posting on my site, & any time you've got stuff like this, feel free to re-post yourself. All interesting stuff is welcome!
Fascinating and somewhat terrifying. "The only way to study the disease was to keep a steady of supply of infected animals in the basement of the Parisian lab. As part of their research, Pasteur and his assistants routinely pinned down rabid dogs and collected vials of their foamy saliva. The risk of losing control of these animals loomed large, but the bullets in the revolver weren’t intended for the dogs. Rather, if one of the assistants was bitten, his colleagues were under orders to shoot him in the head."
That's for posting, I especially like that last sentence. "As Wasik and Murphy write of the disease, It’s gone until it isn’t."
OMG! Don't think I'd want a job there. Geesh! LOL
Haha right? Every time I got a sniffle or a headache, I would start wondering if I had properly used the protective gear lol
