Angst is the dread that accompanies an examined life.
Some people ask the question WHY? and others don't.
Naw it isn't, it's the first part of a question, as in "Angst you's goin' to the store?"
I thought that was really stretching for a joke... which kind of reminded me of this scene from a Marx Brothers Movie.

Angst that a bitch?
"Angst is the dread that accompanies an examined life"
What is dread is confronting the reality our own death,
Freud said
“In biological functions the two basic instincts operate against each other or combine with each other. Thus, the act of eating is a destruction of the object with the final aim of incorporating it, and the sexual act is an act of aggression with the purpose of the most intimate union. This concurrent and mutually opposing action of the two basic instincts gives rise to the whole variegation of the phenomena of life”
Confronting the reality of our death drives our desire to create.
