I genuinely don't believe it could happen in the U.S

I fear it absolutely could happen which is why we ALL need to be paying attention and getting involved. Apathy is the other sides greatest weapon. Arguably, this administration was voted in because something like 60% of voters simply didn't vote. That block could have voted in anyone if they'd banded together.
