Here in the UK I don't think we live in a democracy anymore. I contend we are in a plutocracy ie rule by the wealthy. One recent thing that made me think: during (yes DURING) the recent royal wedding there was a BBC announcement (on their website) that the queen has been given a 6 MILLION pounds pay rise. Before the wedding was over the announcement was gone. Why can't they (whoever 'they' are) at least be open about it?! I realise this does not on its own support my original statement but it seems to add to the fuel - 'we are making more money than ever before while there are more and more food banks etc and we don't really want you to know about it.'
It was a good day to bury this news wasn't it.
