Any funny or creepy stories re Alexa or Google interactive devices? Asked Alexa to set a reminder for my daughters bed time and she reminded me to lick dick!! ?. Which was hilarious ?. Haven't had a creepy laugh yet.
I was cursing while driving, and trying to get Siri to respond. She says: Beth, language!
I just laughed.
That would be an appropriate time...once the kids are in bed.
BTW... Siri is always listening. Test it out. Talk about something, a very specific topic. You don't have to be on your phone, your phone doesn't have to be active (on, yes, but the screen doesn't have to be on). Say a place, an artist, an actor. Open Google and type the first few letters of that subject. Most likely your subject will miraculously pop up. It's happened a few times for me.
Not saying it can't be true, however you'd need to design a scenario with identical preconditions...sometimes trending, email snooping by google, and other inputs can change the results as well.
Our brains are wired to pick out "coincidence" for survival reasons, but coincidence happens all the time!
If I pray for 100 people to get well, some of them will get well...
I agree that there are some spooky problems with all this technology as well!
@arnies If I'm ever having a non-P.C. conversation with someone, or (jokingly)say I wish so-and-so would (insert terrible tragedy here), I randomly blurt out "I don't really mean that NSA! I know you're listening!"
@BlueEyesDallasTX Funny, but with a little bit of sad but true! I like it!
Purely for humor I asked Alexa where to hide a dead body. Her response "do you live near a beach, swamp, desert or city?" What!?! I believe they have since changed her response and she is now condescending to you. Ugh!
??? You shouldn't need reminding for that, there is too much reliance on technology!!
When the machine tells you that come the revolution you will be first up against the wall, it might be time to start worrying about that
