Why does there have to be a day for everything? This is so annoying. I just can’t stand it sometimes. A day for this a day for that. Who gets to make these days up? I wish I could. Why can’t we just have a normal day?
Oh, and my neighbor’s dog, it’s alway barking. Plus, it’s just too hot outside.
Am I doing national wine day correctly?
Seems you need more wine
I believe it's whine not wine ...LOL
Afraid not, havent had a drink for thirty years or more don't miss it maybe when I am older say eighty might start boozing again, who knows?
My favorite grocery store brand is Mark West Pinot Noir. I also like the two buck chuck at Trader Joe's but it recently went up to three bucks.
Oh yeah, I love 2 buck chuck from TJ's. But it is a 2 hr drive to the closest TJ's that sells wine
I finished a bottle of Mark West Pinot noir recently. My regular is the Mirassou but I thought I would try something different. Mirassou still wins; I think it's a bit smoother.
@poetdi56 I'll have to get a bottle.
In order of preference:
Zinfandel
Red Blends
Pinot Noir
Viongnier
Dessert wines (Ports or other)
More specifically, my favorite wine right now is from a Lodi, CA vintner called Berghold Estates. They have two Zins I love; Crankcase, and Footstomp. I like other Zins too, from other makers that have quite different characteristics. 7 Deadly Zins from Michael & David, another Lodi winery, is very good, and quite affordable.
Strawberry Hill.... rot gut stuff.
Boone's Farm! lol
@balou. Yep....nasty good...lol.
I used to prefer a good Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa but after living in South America for a few years I developed a taste for the Malbecs and the Carmeneres from Argentina and Chile.
Since it is now summer in Canada we will be switching over to Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blancs and Fumee' Blancs with a reserve for some of the Spanish sparkling whites and the Portuguese Vino Verdes.
I would say, after considerable consideration, that my favorite wine is beer.
I like a good merlot. But mostly I prefer gin.
I have my towel to hand.
White: Chardonnay
Red: Cabernet or Merlot or Petite Shiraz
I understand the "Two Buck Chuck" at Trader Joe's is reportedly good.
Now Three but still good.
Merlot gal here, although I won't turn down a nice Shiraz. I'm lucky to live in an area where there are several wineries.
Not much of a wine drinker
Being me vodka!! Lol
