That is true. So many times, we do get caught up with some people that just drag us down & suck our energy right out from under us. Years of hard lessons is knowing some are not worth the time of day.

I agree. Not everybody deserves my forgiveness, either. I don’t hate them...I just ‘nothing’ them. No more time, energy, communication: when I’m done, I’m done. This only happens after way too much bullshit. Learning to stop sooner is my goal.

i can be kind & still maintain an unemotional, non-involving attitude. friendship isn't a duty.
@walklightly Yep - we have no obligation to befriend everyone ... (nor would I ever want to !)
From a CS perspective, kindness does calm the beast. Then they feel like the idiots they just showed themselves to be. So I'll stick with kindness of nothing more than to hear them shrink down in embarrassment
