I’m an ex Muslim who has apostated. I think the likely hood of a omnipotent and omniscient God is virtually impossible. However the chances of a theistic God (who created the universe and then left it to its devices) is possible. That’s why I call myself agnostic. What do you guys think?
It is up to you to decide but for me the universe always was and always will be in some form without any diety's aid
That’s a fair opinion. All I’m saying is that I’m not sure about it as there is no emperical data.
How can you calculate the chance of a deistic god? Although philosophically not impossible, we have no evidence for anything existing outside of the known laws of the universe. And something that has no effect on the universe is irrelevant to our current existence.
So why bother believing in something that there is no evidence for?
And well done for being brave enough to become an ex-muslim.
Thanks. I totally agree with your comment. However there is a chance that there was a creator...this does not mean we live our lives idolising him/her. We should just be mindful that there is a possibility.
No one made the Universe - its always been here.
That’s your opinion, which is fine. However Science has demonstrated that the universe came into existence just over 13 billion years ago. Whether there was a creator or not; that’s what no one really knows for sure.
@Agnosticman You are referring to the Big Bang Theory - Which is wrong. The Universe itself is the creator.
@gater do you have any Scientific basis behind your point?
@Agnosticman The BB theory attempts to explain the beginning of the Universe. The Universe could not have a beginning. The Universe is infinite in time and space.
