I have always had trouble with the Christian God drowning a planet full of people including children and babies. This seems to be enjoying the suffering of his creation. He could have made them all disappear with a spoken word. If the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all in agreement as the Bible says then Jesus gave his approval to this monstrous act. Thoughts?
So many problems with this fairy tale. Why did no one else get into their boat? If it took Moses and the Israelites 40 years to cross a desert... how long would it have taken two penguins to get from the Arctic coast to Noah's boat?
But hey, we got a rainbow out of it apparently. So, there's that.
I worked at a plant that assured us there was no other work around here. People started agreeing with all the crap they put on us and how we were treated. The union was bought off and we were told we better settle or they'll shut this plant down. It's FEAR.... all the guys that were given specialty jobs and automatically became journeyman were scared. They knew they couldn't pass a test somewhere else...FEAR. it rules and controls!
I think one of my biggest problems is a god that imbues free will but when that free will is exercised by choosing another deity, He damns them to hell for all eternity. wtf?
I have issues with the idea that a god that supposedly knows everything--past, present and future-- could ever be upset, or offended, by anything that humans do because he already knew what was going to happen and created them all anyway. Oh, that's right--the god of the "Old Testament" was not initially a "know-it-all" god--that came later.
I’ve said this for many years. What is God’s thought pattern when he already knows the future. Meaning he knows all the choices each of us will make, therefore he already knows who will make it in to heaven and which ones are going to hell.
I find it a little hard to believe. Where did all the water go?
Receded where?
Didn't anyone else on Earth have a boat?
Well of course not. God hadn’t told them how to make a boat yet!
@Gatovicolo Well, he did supposedly tell one guy.
Yeah but that was only ONE guy!
Great point!
You would think many people and families were headed by fisherman. When the rain continued, would they get in their boats!!
