I hope you all save a bunch on this unpaid for tax break. I’m not in the bracket that gets the cuts, but I’m SO excited that my grandkids get the bill for it. 🙂

I sent in my passport renewal last week and took the first steps to be an ex-pat in the coming year. I’m so fucking done.

My taxes went up significantly. My friends that own small businesses will have close if they don't double their incomes

I really hope everyone remembers this next November when the midterms come around.
Btw, we'll all get another reminder when the budget talks start next year. Ryan has made it abundantly clear for a very long time that he wants to do away with "entitlement" programs. He, along with too many others, seem to believe that Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare, are all "entitlements". That's absolute bullshit. We've ALL been paying into the funds for those programs our entire working lives. It's NOT an entitlement, we've been paying for that! I'm so sick of this. And that orange buffoon is crowing like he accomplished something. His idiot supporters are going to suffer just as much as everyone else. He's such a freakin' liar. And people wonder why I hate him so damned much.

Check out BBCs winners and losers. Corporations are the winners and we the people are the losers. The republicans keep saying more jobs, but there is NO requirement for them to hire. And the won’t hire until there is a demand to do so.

...and since demand comes from a citizenry capable of purchasing their products.. and their ‘expendable income’ will be consumed by health care and the cost of living (decreased medicare & social security)… Let us eat cake!

@Varn State and local taxes are expected to increase to cover funding the federal budget no long covers. So we lost the exemption and get to pay higher taxes. Yes cake!

Unless anyone here is making a substantial amount of money in a year, no one is really benefiting from this tax bill. Personally, I've seen 2 ways this may go for me. 1, as single, Mary also, making a few thousand less than me, would be paying more. The first chart going around had us paying nearly 2 grand more, each. What I've been seeing the past couple of days is us benefiting by a few hundred each. We are by no way so well off to turn our noses up at a few hundred dollars, but it's not a few 100k like some fat cat is going to get that doesn't need it. And after 3 years we start paying more, then more, then more, So long term, I'm getting fucked!

I have no Money or Grandchildren where that puts me?

No matter how the dirty R’s frame it, it’s a payoff to their ‘donors,’ proof to the nation they can actually ‘accomplish’ something, a method to further starve social services, and a future trap/ mess for the Democrats to clean up... This is what happens in a ‘winner-take-all democracy’ after complacency and militancy hand the reins of government over to one (evil) party.
