Actually I think its just right, but you didn't give that option to vote on.
I will add more paintings and more options. Ty
Funny I thought the easel was a framing like rustic stucco window looking out at the scene. I need to get glaases...I do like it though..
Lmao, I hear you if been there.
It's lovely. Next week I'm planning to try painting with some modified brushes along with a bob Ross video. I haven't been able to do art since my accident, and I'd like to see if I can when using modified brushes
Oh wow, congrats on getting back on the horse!!! I am sure you have did the same in other parts of your life. Keep me updated on the painting. If you like I can give my contact Info or here is good to.
You need a just right button. I dig tropical themes. It's lovely.
I had thought of adding something in right bottom but couldn't find the right item.
It is beautiful. Didn't vote...no option were accurate for me. I would have it on my wall
Thank you, this one is sold.
you should give us more options in the poll, my friend. This is really good work. I can't say if it's too, or not, busy enough, without knowing the original referenced area.
So, what did the 'still life' of that moment reflect? Do you need to add more?
You know already - but I'd be happy to take a look...
Ty. I hear you. I will find the photos I took while there painting and share them.
I think it's good, not too busy, and just enough going on. But I always like clouds.
Clouds are great but can be tricky to paint.
@PoppaJimArtis Absolutely. I'm better at getting dynamic photos than painting them, but it's fun to try!
Any attempt or time spent on a personal artistic form of expression is a masterpiece to whom created it. If you feel relaxed and encouraged to pursue future such expressions, go forth and create. It's sure much better than I could have done.
Ty you for the lovely words. I try to paint every Sunday live or out. And paint as much as I can durningvthe week.
An artwork to grace any wall ... Delightful.
Ty.
The anatomy of the palm tree is incorrect
definitely crop out the easel....it makes the rest too hard to focus on
you did it plein air style? it's good for a plein air painting as opposed to a studio piece
Well, I would definitely call you artistic. You have talent!
Thank you sir, I didn't start painting till about 3 years ago.
Very nice. Bring creative is a wonderful thing. And what a beautiful scene waiting for you to paint it. It must have been very relaxing
It was and is I try to go every week out and paint.
Thanks to all the responses. I am impressed. great group of folks here.
you should post this in Visual ARts or Handcrafters etc if you havent already done so
@btroje ty I will ck into it
No it's not to busy. When you mix your paint are you adding the complimentary color to and are you using white to gray off. Using the complimentary and adding more white in the distance/horizon and progressively less as you move toward the foreground will help the painting look more mature. It's difficult to understand where your focal point is, perhaps the white boat. Your well on your way, there is a lot of good stuff in the painting, do you only want to paint for fun or do you want to improve to the point where you are able to sell paintings to fund a hobby or do you want to become a serious selling artist. In any case if you want to improve you will need to learn to draw as well as you can, if you can't draw a scene well, you will struggle to paint it well, having to deal with the brush and color.
Yes, on the improving!!!! As for selling just to support the hobbie. I can see all your critiques the painter I learned from stayed after us on theses subjects so ty for sparking my memory. The drawing I can sketch good as for adding details and shading if just turns to work no enjoyment.. thank you, very helpful reply.
Very nice. My only critique would be to soften your colors and edges a bit. That would add to the mood. (I'm an Artist w/ BA in Art teaching)
