Here's a bit of trivia. Nowhere in the Bible, Old or New Testament does it say that angels actually have wings. There are several winged creatures mentioned in the Book of Ezekiel called Seraphim and elsewhere as Cherubim which are apparently mystical animals but no 'actual' angelic winged beings. In fact , in several places in the Old Testament they are described simply as 'strangers' that look the same as anyone else. I think the whole idea of angels having wings coming out their backs was started by the Renaissance and earlier painters and artists.

Must admit I never went for the winged angels,so there may be some amongst us as we speak,.
Just goes to show you that Christians don't read the bible, they just worship it. I overheard a couple of Christian co-workers saying that it is a bad idea for people to read the bible because it tends to confuse them.
The Bible is pretty much self-explanatory
