I can just close my eyes and have all of it. LoL..kidding. I do crave for all of them. So, totally relatable.

I think North Carolina would be good for you.

Hence, a pop up camper behind the Jeep, with kayaks on top and mtn bikes on the back.

You can do them all, but not at the same time.

Sounds like wanderlust. I love revolving scenery.

It’s probably in Narnia or Oz. Maybe Seattle.

OK, take away the big city, add a lake, waterfall, river, coral reef, a decent surf break and I am there. Years ago I always thought (naively) that I would find such a place.

I haven't been to Wichita Falls since I was about 10, say 1954. I took a hike in the mountains near Sacramento CA a few years ago.

I arrived at a good spot for camping in late afternoon, in a small level clearing off the trail I drove in on. There were conifers all around of various species, including pine and redwood. The ground was covered in years of needles fallen from the trees. I selected two trees and set up my tube-tent between them. I spent a couple of days looking around in the mountains. It was a good adventure, just nature and I.

Yup.
Luckily I got most it just by living in Songkhla, Thailand. I have mountains only a few blocks from my east facing balcony, and the Gulf of Thailand behind them, six minutes away by motorbike.

I live on the edge of a swamp, out in the country, but a block from the main street/highway through the Songkhla peninsula, three blocks from the big Tesco-Lotus mall and about 15 minutes from downtown Songkhla, and 20 minutes from Hat Yai, the biggest city in the south of Thailand.

I want to live out in the country, but I also want Internet access and sewers.
